Inner Monologues

Thinking today about thoughts - or more specifically my inner monologue.⁣ I’ve written before about fighting for control over the things we think - that it’s not a one & done decision to be loving towards our selves and our bodies - it’s a daily battle. ⁣ But what if those thoughts were read aloud on a loud speaker to our loved ones? What if they were painted on the walls as we walked by? What if the person who loves us best saw the horrible things we believed about ourselves when we looked in the mirror? ⁣ It’s humbling to think about. ⁣ But even more so is the realization that the God of the Universe, the One who handcrafted our bodies & souls, knows our every thought - even before we think them. He knows what we think about His creation. He listens to what we think about His masterpiece.⁣ When we say it isn’t good enough...⁣ When we say it’s not the right size...⁣ When we say it should look like something/someone else...⁣ When we say it’s not worthy of love...⁣ He hears, He knows, and He yearns for us to believe the truth:⁣ That we’re made in His image, ⁣ crafted fearfully & wonderfully, knitted together with purpose & promise. ⁣ We are His living & breathing designs - orchestrated to sing words of praise and love across the Universe.⁣ So get out of your head girl.⁣ You were made for so much more.
